Years ago, the land in this area had neatly tended arbors that produced the grapes for fine Cincinnati wines.

The Kenwood Towne Centre offers over 1,000,000 square feet of shopping pleasure. This mall is occupied by 100 specialty stores, 3 large department stores (Nordstroms, Macy’s and Dilliards) and various restaurants, making this one of the larger shopping facilities in the State of Ohio. The nearby Kenwood Collection building offers streetscape shopping at stores such as Crate and Barrel and The Container Store. Sycamore Plaza (aka Kenwood Square) has national brand stores including Dick’s Sporting Goods, TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Michael’s crafts. Nearby Madeira offers local boutique-style shops. There are several restaurants to enjoy in Kenwood. Trio Bistro, Embers and Cooper Hawk are three popular places for a meal or drinks.

The nearby Kenwood Country Club is private and has two 18-hole golf courses. Daniel Drake Park has picnic grounds and a panoramic view of the scenic hills and valleys of Cincinnati.

There are two private membership swim clubs: The Kenwood Swim Club and the swim and tennis clubs in Madeira. The Camargo Racquet Club in nearby Madeira offers six indoor tennis courts on a private membership basis.

The Kenwood Theatre is located along Kenwood Road.
